PROJECT MANAGER - HEALTH & INDUSTRIAL WASTE SERVICES

Bris based | $175000 - $185000 per annum

Our client is an iconic ASX100 market leader in waste management and sustainability. Today, they are seeking to add to their national infrastructure team to ensure the successful delivery of multiple significant construction/infrastructure projects across Queensland (Brisbane, Gladstone & Roma), servicing their Industrial Waste Services & Health related business units.   
  
There are multiple projects across the Brisbane region so being able to utilise your stakeholder engagement, subcontractor management and best practice delivery skills will be essential. These projects have a key focus on safety and compliance and need an experienced Project Manager to deliver on that focus.   
  
Based in Brisbane and reporting to a talented Program Manager – Infrastructure, you will take responsibility for the end-to-end management and delivery of assigned Industrial Waste Services and Health Waste Services infrastructure projects. As the Project Manager, you will be supporting the operational and commercial growth goals of our client through end-to-end management of all infrastructure projects. The role includes oversight and responsibility of each project, project budget, fiscal year forecast and actual spend, and best practise standards including environmental compliance. Leverage off your construction or industrial project management experience and join a market leader in growth in a permanent position.

Key responsibilities will include:  

  • Lead projects and people in line with their Leadership Model, exemplifying their values-based high-performance culture  

  • Leverage their organisational Toolkit to increase sustainability alignment and promote brand awareness and equity to all groups including employees, customers, community and shareholders  

  • Manage, including driving effective and efficient communication between project teams, contractors and suppliers and other external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met  

  • Obtain appropriate licenses and approvals from relevant authorities for execution of project as required 

  • Direct and assist procurement in the development of tender requests for relevant activities to ensure the highest possible standard for tender submission, minimising costs and maximizing scope activity  

  • Manage the commissioning and hand over of projects to the operating team  

  • Lead project teams in the development of ‘fit for purpose’ design, and construction of new infrastructure assets and the rehabilitation of closed assets  

  • Manage asset project handover including operational and environmental compliance for the assets with all regulatory and best practise requirements, pollution abatement notices, Council notices etc  

  • Establish, monitor and review project life cycles to ensure the delivery of project on time and budget
