As a MV Assessor you will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage to determine cost-effective and safe repairs, while ensuring the best outcome for the customer and balancing the needs of the business. To achieve this, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with repairers, parts suppliers and other industry bodies as well as internal stakeholders within the business.
This position gives you the opportunity to work on a number of Assessing functions. Including On-Road Assessing, working from an Assessment Centre.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assess vehicles and negotiate fair and reasonable cost outcomes for both the customer and client
Prepare accurate assessment reports
Communicating with both repairers and customers to manage expectations about repair duration and expected completion timeframes
Build strong relationships with repairers, suppliers, and industry bodiesWork as a collaborative team member
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have:
Motor and/or heavy motor vehicle assessing experience preferable
Trade qualifications in the panel beating/automotive spray-painting industry (5+ years - as required)
Experience with quotiing and estimating
Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate resilience in a fast paced environment
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Competent computer skills - training provided on industry specific platforms
A current and unrestricted driver’s licence
