Reporting directly to the GM Infrastructure, this is a new role and it is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of Infrastructure Build, Restoration/Upgrades & Maintenance Projects supporting the ongoing success of this ASX100 environmental services leader.  As the Project Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for establishment and maintenance of project cost performance and scheduling.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • The Project Controls Specialist will be a key partner to the Program Managers, Senior Project Manager and Project Managers and the Operations Teams.

  • A key responsibility will be the provision of project control support to the PMO‘s  Infrastructure project portfolio.

  • Prepare or supervise the preparation of project reports (daily, weekly and monthly).

  • Prepare and maintain the project baseline schedule and narrative.

  • Support project cost control including reviewing time sheets, purchase orders and subcontracts to ensure costs are tracked accurately.

  • Develop quantity tracking systems for input into the cost report.

  • Prepare cost reports, project forecasts, and cost / revenue projections.

  • Oversee and support project change management including pricing change orders, managing Time and Material extra work and interfacing with key stakeholders.

  • Manage risk management system to collate and track risk and issues

  • Identify and evaluate risks that may have an impact on the project. Implements appropriate mitigation actions.

  • Establish and maintain communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information.

  • Use information to produce Project Controls system improvements.
