BRANCH MANAGER - WILLAWONG

They are now seeking to appoint a Branch Manager with transport and operational leadership experience to take charge of their Willawong branch. With full accountability for the operational performance of the business (people, fleet, P&L, stakeholder engagement & customer experience) this is a fantastic career opportunity.


You will be able to demonstrateoperational leadershipexperience and a track record offacilitating targeted growth through effective resource utilisation/management of assets, equipment and people. In a highly fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will be responsible for the branch P&Lto deliver contract services as well as driving existing and new business opportunities with commercial and industrial clients. You will be able to demonstrate strong capability in data management and reporting,health and safety compliance management,rostering, scheduling, union liaison, enterprise agreements, labour hire contracting, asset utilisation and environmental compliance management.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, coach and mentor a transport, logistics and contract services operation

  • Operational leadership of, and engagement with around 35 permanent staff and owner drivers

  • Stakeholder engagement and management (including being the escalation point for customer concerns) 

  • Health, Safety, QA & Environmental Compliance

  • Shape, build and manage strong relationships and alignment with key customer stakeholders

  • Deliver exceptional data analysis and reporting

  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives

  • Stakeholder engagement and management (including being the escalation point for customer concerns)

  • Full P&L accountability ($36M revenue)

  • Efficient and effective Fleet and Equipment Maintenance & Management (large asset base of heavy vehicles, tools and machinery)

  • Project and Change Management

  • Optimisation of Asset/Resource utilisation

  • Mentor and develop Operations Supervisors

  • Customer facing (as requested as the SME) with the Field Sales Managers

  • Work in close collaboration with the Sales Unit Manager to support strategic & tactical sales planning and programs
