Our client is a privately owned national provider of car hire, car finance and airport parking services, with approx. 100 staff (both in Australia and offshore) and a fleet of 2500 vehicles and growing. Whilst operating in both the B2B and B2C market, they are particularly proud of the ‘second chance’ they provide to the more distressed consumer market. And yes, they are as passionate about their purpose now, as they were back in 2006 when they launched their now highly successful business. Their goal is not to be the biggest, but it is to be the best!


Today they are seeking to appoint a dynamic, innovative and commercially astute professional to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead/collaborate with their highly talented executive leadership team to design and implement targeted strategies to deliver on the established strategic objectives. This is a unique opportunity for a CEO to work closely with a Managing Director who is himself an inspirational and empowering leader, and who is very keen to hand you the reigns to apply your own magic to an autonomous CEO role.


Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Leading a talented Executive Leadership Team (CMO, CFO, CIO, COO and CPO).

  • Setting the growth and value strategy, underpinned with enviable quantitative and qualitative data to ensure you are well positioned to make evidenced based decisions on new initiatives, ensuring the achievement of organisational goals and promises.

  • Providing strategic and commercial leadership for the overall operations of the organization, ensuring that the strategies that are designed and implemented, remain aligned to the vision and goals of the organisation.

  • Being forward facing, staying abreast of the economy and market to identify new revenue streams to support further growth.

  • Ensuring long term sustainability and continuity of the business, as they continue to service their targeted business segments and customer base

  • Providing strategic support, advice and recommendations to the MD and ELT

  • Ensuring the effective management of the organisation including business planning, financial management, human resources management, and governance.

  • Ensuring statutory and operational compliance.

  • Leading change, innovation, digitisation and continuous improvement in systems and work processes and practices.

  • Producing financial and annual reports for the Board in a timely manner.

  • Managing and reporting on the organisations operational and corporate Risk Management Plan.

  • Effectively managing key stakeholders and customer service delivery.

  • Leading, managing and developing a team of management staff.
