The business is currently undergoing a transformational change process across systems, processes and people, and is seeking to employ a hands-on Financial Controller to help drive these initiatives and improve business performance. Reporting directly to the board, you will lead a team of 20 people, including an overseas hub.
Manage the preparation of consolidated financial reports for the organisation to ensure the lodgement of error-free and best practice financial reports on a timely basis.
Prepare the organisation-wide, annual budget on a ‘bottom-up’, ‘zero based budget’ basis for the Group, including a 3 way integrated financial model, that readily, clearly and concisely conveys information relevant to decision making, including appropriate narrative that explains and analyses the primary drivers and key factors underlying the forecast financial outcomes.
Manage the coordination, production, analysis and distribution of flawless Board reports on a timely basis, and provide ad-hoc support and analysis to internal stakeholders as required.
Ensure compliance with all statutory taxation obligations in accordance with a zero-tolerance for late lodgement.
Maintain a best practice control environment to ensure seamless and professional service delivery to internal stakeholders of all operational finance functions, including accounts payable/receivable, treasury, payroll, project cost tracking and expense claims.
Perform the Company Secretary role for the group including the flawless management of the Board function, lodgement of statutory filing requirements and maintenance of a best practice corporate governance function.
Provide business partner support, incorporating financial analysis, due diligence, systems implementation and technical accounting advice to internal partners as required.
Mentor, coach and grow capability and skills of the Finance team such that they are able to perform their role flawlessly and with the full confidence of internal stakeholders.
Build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships internally and externally to enable seamless execution in relation to various tasks.
