Our client is arguably Qld's largest provider of motor vehicle insurance and second largest provider of household insurance.  In total they provide cover to over 1.8 million policy holders throughout Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Reporting to the Manager Portfolio Delivery in their Portfolio Delivery, Regulatory, Compliance & Infrastructure team, they are seeking to appoint a Project Coordinator or Junior Project Manager who will hit the ground running with coordinating and supporting IT projects.

The Project Coordinator contributes to the successful completion of projects by providing project coordination, portfolio/programme and project administration and reporting.  Working alongside Project Managers, the Coordinator will provide input to the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific project tasks, ensuring consistency with their processes, procedures and project management standards.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with administrative and support tasks (e.g. prepare status report template, elicit project status from consultants, simple schedule updates, simple budget reporting)

  • Proactively assisting the Portfolio Delivery team to deliver projects in a timely manner and within budget through the provision of specialist programme/project support

  • Assisting steerco meetings, stakeholder workshops and information sessions, including the compilation and distribution of agendas, comprehensive minute taking and follow up of action items/resolutions

  • Maintaining Risk and Issue registers and proactively working to manage them with delivery teams

  • Managing stakeholders and vendors

  • Assist with continuous improvement activities (e.g. the project’s ‘Way of Working’)

  • Tracking work against baseline schedules by running periodic stand ups in line with the project’s way of working.
