They are now seeking to appoint a Branch Manager to their Moomba operation, with operational leadership experience in waste, construction, contracting, mining or heavy industrial, to take ownership of the branch P&L, and deliver effective resource utilisation/management of assets, trucks, equipment and people. You will be able to demonstrate strong capability in health and safety compliance management, rostering, scheduling, union liaison, enterprise agreements, labour hire contracting, asset utilisation and environmental compliance management. Ideally you will also have experience in commissioning a new operation, an understanding of best practice landfill operations management, and demonstrated skills managing major customers.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role will include an exceptional salary package plus bonus.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead, coach and mentor a logistics and industrial contract services operation
Operational Leadership of around 60 permanent staff and a number of contractors
Health, Safety, QA & Environmental Compliance
Stakeholder engagement and management (including being the escalation point for customer concerns)
Customer facing, getting on-site regularly to ensure safety compliance and efficient asset utilisation, as well as managing accountability and identifying and remedying any gaps
Monitor and manage activities of the Branch and be accountable for the overall operational and financial performance including Profit and Loss reporting, budget preparation, forecast reviews, financial performance and achieving agreed financial/operational targets for the Branch
Manage costs of the Branch with an ongoing priority on cost reviews, reduction programs and cost-conscious behaviour within the Branch team to maximise the profitability of the operations
Efficient and effective Fleet and Equipment Maintenance & Management (large asset base of heavy vehicles, tools and machinery)
Manage and report vehicle incidents and accidents, property damage and personal injury within the workplace to the Regional Manager and other personnel, as required
