DESKTOP MOTOR ASSESSOR

Launceston, Launceston & North East TAS, $85000 - $120000 per annum

Our Client is a global leader in software and data analytics services used to streamline elements of the motor vehicle claims management process.  Now they have launched in Australia and are looking to lead the game rethinking old processes by digitalising and speeding up manual processes in the field of automobile claims management.

This is where you come in...

As an experienced Motor Assessor, you will also be technically minded, be able to review assessments, understand the problem, work through different options and be able to make decisions to ensure the best outcome for the customer and balance the needs of the business. To achieve this, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with repairers, parts suppliers and other industry bodies as well as internal stakeholders within the business.

Responsibilities are offered through full time working from home conditions.

About the role:

  • Review quotes and digital assessments on damaged vehicles

  • Achieve fast turnaround times, control costs & detect and reduce fraud

  • Negotiate fair and reasonable cost outcomes for both the customer and client

  • Monitor and communicate outcomes to vehicle owners as per legislation and regulatory bodies

  • Build strong relationships with repairers, suppliers, and industry bodies

  • Full time working from home - competitive salary in the range of $80-120K plus a laptop and phone provided

About you:

  • You will be Trade Qualified in panel beating/spray-painting for the automotive industry

  • You will have experience as a Motor Assessor

  • Strong decision making skills

  • Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Be resilient and able to self-manage stress levels

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Be computer literate and technology minded
