This ASX 100 market leader in waste management is seeking to appoint a Logistics Manager with Transport and Operational Leadership experience to take charge of their Silverwater NSW site.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this opportunity requires a Logistics Manager who can drive analytical improvements and fleet optimisation and who can contribute to and leverage off this highly successful organisation’s brand reputation and infrastructure support, to also enjoy growth and continued innovation.
With full accountability for the operational performance of the fleet business (people, fleet, P&L, stakeholder engagement & customer experience) this is a fantastic career opportunity. 

What you will bring to this hands on role 

• A strong track record in safety, leadership and transport/fleet management

• Demonstrated hands on leadership and technical expertise in transport & asset management from your transport and operational background

• Confident in schedule management and route optimisation

• The ability to continue to nurture a high performing operation that embraces both safety and continuous improvement

• Demonstrated strategic thinking & problem solving Skills

• Experience managing fleet/transport budgets

• Experience leading, coaching and mentoring a diverse team 

• Asset utilisation & maintenance of a fleet of 28 trucks (front lift, rear lift and roll-ons)

• High degree of motivation and energy

• Compliance/QA management

• Demonstrated experience as the ‘Go To’ Transport management expert

• Confident stakeholder engagement and management experience at all levels across the wider organisation

• Experience building a high performing operation

• A preference for working in an extremely fast paced environment where flexibility and adaptability is key
